THE GOLDEN SPIRIT OF SKYE
10 YEARS OLD 45.8% VOLUME

THE ONLY DISTILLERY ON THE ISLE OF SKYE
Situated on the shores of Loch Harport, within sight of the jagged Cuillin mountains, Talisker is the only distillery on Skye. An island famous for his unspoiled natural beauty, the isle of skye has such an intented shoreline that no spot on the island is more than 5 or 6 miles from the sea. Its romantic history gives a gentler hue to the life of subsistence farming endured by generations:
Turner painted here by the side of Loch Coruisk, and Flora Mac Donald brought Bonnie Prince Charlie here in refuge in 1746.

A TRADITION OF DISTILLING SINCE 1830 Since its foundation in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, the distillery has undergone many changes.
In the late 19th century, it was refitted with the latest equipment, and at the turn of the century a pier was built and a tramway laid to connect the various buildings on the now extensives premises.

DISTINCTIVE 'MARINE' CHARACTER
Using water from a burn whose source is in the Cnoc nan Speirag (Hawk Hill), the whisky is bottled for the enjoyment of those who seek Talisker sunique 'marine' character. Fully-flavoured with a distinctive peaty taste, wich explodes on the palate and lingers on. It is well-balanced with a slighty sweet aroma.
